But the woman was searching for a perfect husband

I have heard about a man who remained unmarried his whole life, and when he was dying, ninety years old, somebody asked him, “You have remained unmarried your whole life, but you have never said what the reason was. Now you are dying, at least quench our curiosity. If there is any secret, now you can tell it because you are dying; you will be gone. Even if the secret is known, it can’t harm you.”

The man said, “Yes, there is a secret. It is not that I am against marriage, but I was searching for a perfect woman. I searched and searched, and my whole life slipped by.”

The inquirer asked, “But upon this big earth, so many millions of people, half of them women, couldn’t you find one perfect woman?”

A tear rolled down from the eye of the dying man. He said, “Yes, I did find one.”

The inquirer was absolutely shocked. He said, “Then what happened? Why didn’t you get married?”

And the old man said, “But the woman was searching for a perfect husband.”

If you think you are special then you are bound to create misery for yourself. If you think that you are higher than others, wiser than others, then you will attain a very strong ego. And the ego is poison, pure poison. And the more egoistic you become, the more it hurts because it is a wound. The more egoistic you become, the more you become unbridged from life. You fall separate from life; you are no longer in the flow of existence, you have become a rock in the river. You have become ice-cold, you have lost all warmth, all love. A special person cannot love, because where are you going to find another special person?

The Empty Legacy: Andrew Carnegie's Reflection on Life and Wealth

One of the greatest rich man in the world was Andrew Carnegie. His biographer asked him "Are you dying contented?". He said, "No, I am a very discontented man. My whole life has been a failure. I am dying unfulfilled." The biographer said, "But you have so much money!". He said, "Yes, the same logic destroyed my whole life. I was also thinking that if I can have that much money then all will be well. Money is there, and I have lost my life in accumulating all this junk, but inside I am as empty as ever."

What you really need is a qualitative transformation of your being. You need your life become full of light. You need some inner richness; outer richness is not going to help.

The Binary Blueprint for Pure Love

In life, we can learn a valuable lesson from the numbers 1 and 0. They teach us how to treat each other with kindness and respect to make our love meaningful. Imagine 1 saying to 0, "you make me feel ten times stronger" and 0 responding, "without you, I am nothing". When they come together as "10" it shows that true love is about mutual respect, value, acceptance, and supports. In reality of life, our love should be like of 1 and 0, where we treat each other with respect and help each other for our meaningful lives filled with pure love.

Just like computers need both 1 and 0 to work, our love need respect, acceptance, and support to thrive. Think of it as a simple code for a happy and loving life. When we value and support each other, our love becomes strong and pure, just like the bond between 1 and 0.

In the winding journey of life, let's embrace the lesson from 1 and 0. Our love can be beautiful and meaningful if we treat each other with kindness, accept one another, and help each other grow. Like 1 and 0 coming together, our love can be a source of happiness and purity in our lives.

The Legacy of Shivapuri Baba: An Enlightened Sage's Odyssey Around the World

Shivapuri Baba, the revered enlightened mystic, remains an enduring legend whose remarkable life and teachings have left an indelible mark on spiritual seekers and enthusiasts around the world. Born in 1826 in a village near Kanyakumari, Kerala, India, he embarked on a transformative journey that led him to become a guiding light for many. His story is one of profound spiritual awakening, selfless service, and unique encounters with some of the greatest minds of his time.

Shivapuri Baba's legacy is colored with extraordinary experiences, including his interactions with Queen Victoria and luminaries like Albert Einstein, Leo Tolstoy, and Mahatma Gandhi. These encounters speak to the depth and breadth of his wisdom, as well as his ability to traverse cultural and intellectual divides. One of the most intriguing episodes of his life was his four-year stay at Buckingham Palace, where he shared the profound teachings of yoga with Queen Victoria herself, transcending social boundaries and disseminating ancient knowledge to unexpected quarters.

His spiritual journey took him on foot through diverse lands and cultures, almost world. During his lifetime, he visited all famous countries of Asia, Europe, America and Australia of that time; and after traveling around the world returned to Nepal.

This wandering sage garnered respect not only for his spiritual insights but also for his self-sufficient existence, often sustaining himself solely on wild roots and fruits during his deep meditations in remote forests. Shivapuri Baba's lifelong pursuit of truth culminated in his enlightenment at the age of fifty, an experience he poetically described as the moment when "God appeared in a flash" and all questions were resolved.

Throughout his travels and interactions, Shivapuri Baba exemplified the essence of "Right Life," a teaching he propagated, which consisted of physical, moral, and spiritual discipline. He advocated for a life of discrimination and devotion, and his teachings continue to resonate with seekers to this day. Despite his extraordinary abilities, Shivapuri Baba remained humble and shied away from the spotlight, choosing a life of solitude and simplicity on the Shivapuri hill in Nepal, where he spent thirty-seven years until his passing at the age of one hundred and thirty-seven.

Shivapuri Baba's legacy endures through the stories of his encounters, his teachings on Right Life, and his deep spiritual insights that continue to inspire generations. His remarkable journey from an Indian village to Buckingham Palace and beyond stands as a testament to the transformative power of spiritual enlightenment and the impact of a life lived in pursuit of truth and self-realization.

The Sweet Fruit of Compassion: A Story of Buddha

"I AM A SCULPTOR"

I am a sculptor, a molder of form.

In every moment I shape an idol.

But then, in front of you,

I melt them down

I can rouse a hundred forms

and fill them with spirit,

but when I look into your face,

I want to throw them in the fire.

My souls spills into yours and is blended.

Because my soul has absorbed

your fragrance, I cherish it.

Every drop of blood I spill

informs the earth,

I merge with my Beloved

when I participate in love.

In this house of mud and water,

my heart has fallen to ruins.

Enter this house, my Love,

or let me leave.

Investing Wisdom Unveiled: Lessons from 'The Intelligent Investor'

Within the pages of 'The Intelligent Investor' by Benjamin Graham lies a treasury of wisdom that transcends generations in the realm of finance. This iconic work is more than just a guide to investing; it is a testament to the enduring principles that underpin sound financial decisions, that is why it is also known as a favorite book of Warren Buffett. Its principles emphasize a disciplined and rational approach to investing, fostering long-term success and financial security. Graham's timeless insights are like a compass, guiding readers through the labyrinth of the market's ebbs and flows. Rooted in a foundation of disciplined thinking and a profound understanding of human behavior, this book offers a roadmap for both seasoned investors and those just embarking on their financial journey. If you're considering entering the world of investing, this book is an invaluable resource to equip you with foundational knowledge and strategies. As we embark on an exploration of its invaluable lessons, we uncover the essence of intelligent investing.

(1) Invest for the long term: Recognize that while the stock market can be volatile in the short term, its historical trend is upward over the long term. This principle underscores the importance of patience and a focus on the bigger picture.

(2) Invest in undervalued stocks: Seek out value stocks – those trading below their intrinsic value. This strategy involves analyzing a company's fundamentals to find potential bargains in the market.

(3) Stay informed: Regularly stay updated on the financial health of your investments and the market. Being well-informed helps you make timely decisions and adjust your strategy as needed.

(4) Diversify your portfolio: The lesson of not putting all your eggs in one basket emphasizes the importance of spreading your investments across different asset classes to reduce the risk associated with the performance of a single investment.

(5) Be patient: A crucial reminder that investing is not a path to quick riches. Success requires time, diligence, and avoiding the allure of hasty decisions.

(6) Don't panic: Acknowledge that market fluctuations are normal. Maintaining a long-term perspective helps weather short-term market volatility.

(7) Don't try to time the market: Attempting to predict market movements is futile due to the complexity and unpredictability of market dynamics.

(8) Buy stocks based on undervaluation and future potential: Rather than investing based on speculation, focus on the value and growth potential of a company. Buy stocks you believe are undervalued and likely to appreciate over time.

(9) Do your research: Don't blindly follow the crowd. Thoroughly understand a company and its industry before investing. Informed decisions are key to successful investing. And, independent analysis is crucial to avoid making emotional decisions.

(10) Don't be afraid to sell a stock: If an investment no longer aligns with your strategy or if its value has significantly changed, consider selling to preserve gains or limit losses.

(11) Invest in companies with a moat: A moat represents a competitive advantage that makes it challenging for rivals to enter a market. Such companies often enjoy long-term profitability and stability.

(12) Invest in companies with strong management: A skilled and ethical management team is essential for a company's sustained success. Their decisions influence profitability and growth potential.

(13) Invest in profitable companies: Companies with consistent profits are more likely to provide dividends and grow earnings over time, enhancing the value of your investment.

(14) Review and Rebalance: Periodically review and rebalance your portfolio. As market conditions change, certain assets may become over- or underrepresented. Adjusting your portfolio ensures it aligns with your goals.

(15) Learn from mistakes and continuous learning: Mistakes are inevitable in investing. Use them as learning opportunities to refine your strategy and avoid repeating similar errors in the future. And, the investment landscape evolves. Keep educating yourself about market trends, new investment opportunities, and emerging industries to make informed decisions.

Overall, 'The Intelligent Investor' stands as a beacon of rationality and prudence in the world of investing. Benjamin Graham's meticulous guidance serves as a steady hand in the tempestuous sea of financial markets. Through lessons advocating for patient, well-informed, and calculated approaches, the book arms investors with tools to navigate the unpredictable currents of finance. By embracing the virtues of discipline, diversification, and astute analysis, readers are empowered to craft a financial journey grounded in wisdom and fortified against irrational exuberance. Ultimately, the book's teachings champion the mindset of an intelligent investor, equipped not only to pursue potential gains but also to weather the storms of uncertainty with resilience and confidence.

I am nobody

I am nobody
I do not belong to any nation,
I do not belong to any religion,
I do not belong to any political party,
I am simply an individual the way
existence created me.

I have kept myself absolutely uninfluenced
by any idiotic ideology,
religious, political, social, financial.
And the miracle is
that because I am not burdened with all
these glasses on my eyes
and the curtains before me- I can see clearly.

Khaptad Baba: From Medical Doctor to a Himalayan Sage

Legendary Khaptad Baba, also known as Swami Sachchidananda or Khaptad Swami, was a profound spiritual saint whose journey took him across the rugged and picturesque landscapes of Nepal. Born on February 10, 1880, in Kashmir, he initially pursued a career in medicine, training as a medical doctor. However, his thirst for understanding the Ultimate Truth led him to renounce worldly life and become a Sanyasi under the guidance of the revered Gurudev Shri 1008 Swami Gyanasramaji, who resided along the banks of the Bhagirathi River in India.

After years of spiritual exploration within India, Baba embarked on a transformative journey with companions like Shyam Chetan Baba and Mr. Evans Wentz. This journey brought them to Nepal, where they each pursued unique paths. Shyam Chetan Baba found solace beside Pashupati Nath temple, while Mr. Wentz ventured further into Tibet and Sikkim. Khaptad Baba, on the other hand, ventured along Nepal's high mountain sides, carving temporary sanctuaries of meditation and worship in places such as Ilam, Kalinchowk, Swargadwari, Mushikot, and Chandannath, before ultimately settling in the tranquil embrace of the Khaptad Valley.

Khaptad Baba's existence in the Khaptad Valley extended for over five decades, where he immersed himself in contemplation and devotion. The valley's altitude, reaching around 10,500 feet, provided him with an ideal environment for solitude and reflection. Bordering districts like Doti, Bajhang, Achham, and Bajura, the Khaptad Valley was a remote and serene sanctuary, often blanketed in snow for nearly two-thirds of the year.

Earning the moniker "Khaptad Baba" due to his enduring connection with this mystical valley, his Sanyasi name, bestowed by Gurudev Gyanasramaji, was "Swami Sachchidananda Saraswati," later known as "Shri 1008 Brahmavit Paramhansa Yogi Sachchidananda Saraswati." His life exemplified equanimity, compassion, and grace, resonating with those who sought his blessings and shared his presence.

Khaptad Baba's transformational journey from a proficient medical doctor to a revered ascetic underscored his profound spiritual evolution. In his earlier days, he grappled with the limitations of modern medical science while trying to save a dying child. Encountering a hermit from Jammu-Kashmir, who harnessed the power of Himalayan herbs and yoga to revive the child, ignited Baba's spiritual quest. This encounter revealed the potency of the human will and natural remedies over conventional medicine, prompting him to forsake his thriving medical practice and immerse himself in the study of Vedas and Upanishads.

As Khaptad Swami, he redefined his life's purpose, embracing solitude and eschewing personal recognition. His wisdom and teachings found a lasting place in the hearts of those who encountered him. On May 9, 1996, Khaptad Swami left his physical form, possibly around the remarkable age of 130, leaving behind a legacy of enlightenment, seclusion, and spiritual depth. His ultimate aspiration for Nirvana in tranquility remained intact, reflecting the profound essence of his journey and beliefs.

A man of seed and plants

उनी भन्थे- "I don’t know whether God is pleased with breaking a coconut, but I am sure He will be immensely pleased if we plant a tree"

Devaki Amma: The Loving Mother of Trees

Devaki Amma, an 85-year-old woman from Kerala, India, has spent four decades growing a lush forest all by herself on her private property, covering five acres of land in the Onattukara region. Despite having no formal education and facing physical challenges after an accident, Devaki Amma's dedication to the environment led her to plant her first sapling, which eventually grew into a sprawling forest with diverse plant species. Her family, spanning four generations, has supported her in this mission, making it a collective effort. Devaki Amma's forest has not only provided fruits, flowers, and vegetables but has also attracted exotic and migratory birds. She emphasizes the importance of planting trees to neutralize carbon footprints and practices rainwater harvesting. Her remarkable efforts earned her national recognition, including the Nari Shakti Puruskar from government of India, for her contribution to protecting biodiversity and raising awareness about environmental conservation. Devaki Amma's legacy inspires us to take action and make positive changes for the environment.

Rwanda: A Rising Star of Sustainable Development

In the last few years, Rwanda has become popular as a country that has made impressive progress towards sustainable development. However, it is saddening to note that while Rwanda has become one of the cleanest and most beautiful countries on Earth, Nepal, despite its long-progress to development, listed in most polluted Nation in the world, lagging behind in several crucial aspects, including environmental conservation, good governance, and political instability.

Rwanda's remarkable sustainable initiatives include promoting plastic bag bans, regular city clean-up campaigns, encouraging environmentally friendly entrepreneurship, investing in environmental research, practicing sustainable development, conserving forests, tree planting campaigns, boosting solar energy usage, establishing green funds, promoting sustainable tourism, restoring ecosystems, upgrading national parks, guerrilla tourism, prioritizing the green economy, focusing on green politics, protecting wildlife, extensive nationwide clean-up campaigns, establishing green climate funds, emphasizing green economics, and fostering unity for common green goals.

In contrast, Nepal faces numerous challenges that hinder its progress towards sustainability. These challenges encompass issues related to environmental degradation, bureaucratic inefficiency, corruption, and political instability. Nepal can draw inspiration from Rwanda's transformative sustainable practices and take concrete steps to address these challenges. By implementing similar initiatives and prioritizing sustainability, Nepal can work towards becoming a cleaner, greener, and more prosperous nation, following the path set by Rwanda's remarkable sustainable achievements.
